Activities: This is an informal afternoon social & families are encouraged. We will barbecue and talk killifish. There is a pool (and may be even a ping-pong table). The bird-watching is very good so bring your binoculars. We will probably have a killie slide show.
We will have some basics such as hot dogs & soft drinks for the BBQ. If you can bring additional foods & drinks, it would be great. Please RSVP by email to info@sfbaka.net regarding the BBQ.

Activities:
This is an informal social event.
We'll BBQ, talk about fish and tour my fish room. I will also bring out my collection of killifish books to do a show-and-tell.
We have a fantastic talk by Glen Collier on DVD on how killifish are related to each other, based on DNA results. But I haven't tested the DVD yet for quality. If it looks okay, I'll show it.
The auction will probably start around 6:30 pm.
Club Business:
We are planning to send a box of fish to the AKA convention on Monday, May 21st. If you would like to send fish, please bring them to the meeting and we'll add them to the BAKA box.

I hope everyone had a nice holiday! We're moving the January meeting to the 4th Saturday (January 27) to avoid a scheduling conflict.

Weather permitting, Wright Huntley will be here in person to present slides of his recent aquarium tours in Singapore.

Meeting notes:
We had a small but animated meeting in November.
The main business was to elect officers for 2007. The new officers are:
President: Thuan Nguyen
Vice-President: John Boylan
Treasurer: Jim Clark
Secretary: Henry Diep
We viewed a program on DVD featuring a short talk by David Koran on pupfishes
and a slightly longer talk by Nevin Aspinwall on collecting killies in Africa.
Afterwards, we had a lively auction with quite a long list of items.
Many thanks to Ted Pino for contributing a great variety of tanks and filters to the
auction. The 1.5 gallon glass "photo" tanks were especially popular. Ted also brought a dozen of the brand new and rare "galaxy rasboras" to the auction.
Have a nice holiday and see everyone again in January!

Activities:
This was an informal summer BBQ. We enjoyed some yummy food, talk about fish & see nice pictures of killifish, and tour Thuan's fish room.
We also said farewell to Bob Tucker, who is moving to Arcata, CA in August to attend Humboldt State Univ.
Auction:
We had a fantastic auction with lots of beautifu live plants courtesy of Caleb. Bob also auctioned quite a few fish and tanks since he has very little space at his new place.
