If you’ve never heard of a killifish before, please check out the photos on the website of the American Killifish Association (www.aka.org). Killifishes can be beautiful, ugly, weird and wonderful; that’s why we raise them.


These days you can get a lot of information about killies from the Internet and you can even buy them online. But there’s still something irreplaceable about meeting other hobbyists in person to gab about fish & to swap these little treasures.


As a club, the BAKA also does a lot of good work to support killifish conservation. Our members have been actively involved in restoring the habitats of endangered native killies.
